Tiny things are the best right? Without taking up a lot of space they can take you back in time to relive sights, smells and fond memories. They make us smile and that is why I suppose I am a hoarder of tiny things.
These last few months have been hectic and in my life hectic is great. Nevertheless, it is nice to have a few minutes to sit down and think about the little things in life.
Open surfaces in my bedroom are filled with perfume bottles. But lately I was given a set of tiny perfumes and oh my… I love them. This specific one is Tréson from Lancôme Paris. It is divine and oh so tiny.
This is a Ladurée keyring from our Paris trip and as you can see it never leaves it’s box. Every now and again when I day just feels too plain I open up this little box and travel back to Paris.
This soap was created by me and my lovely friend and former copywriter Tanna for a Comedy Central invite. It reminds me of all the hard work, long hours and laughs we had as a team.
Little fox holds on to my favourite paintbrushes. Whenever I’m painting he makes me smile. And that’s it.
This is Bo Bun I made him complete with a little pyramid shaped box as part of a truth, dare and command game I made in my second year at Open Window. He reminds me of our little bunny Peaches.
This ice-cream bubble cone is one of those things I have that I can’t exactly recall when or how I got it. It does, however, remind me of childhood, fun, and laughs.
This gorgeous little thing is from Typo and has a little light as well. She was sitting on the 50% off the shelf all by her lonesome and I decided to take her home. She reminds me of innocence.
This reminds me of a short trip we took to England after visiting Ireland. It reminds me of Andre and I sitting on a city tour bus freezing our butts off. We never finished the whole city tour, it was just too damn cold!
These are mine from a time very long ago where being a ballerina was the only thing I wanted and choices between which pink cardigan to choose were enormous. It was a time where anything was possible. A time where sitting down and drinking a cold drink from tiny teacups and having a fat chat with yourself made you feel so special and all grown up. I loved those times.
This tiny thing is not actually mine but it is Andre’s. A gift from our amazing friends Jan and Yolandie, they are moving to Germany in a couple of days. Even though this is probably one of the saddest things, I know they are going to have a blast on their new adventures. Jan, Yolandie, and Kayla, here comes the sun just for you… This song will forever make me think of you guys and I’ll always hear this and see the three of you dancing in the dimly lit room after Kayla’s bath time. You are an incredible little family with so much to offer the world. Go get them sunshine!
