One of my favourite things about markets is discovering local makers that I never knew of. The spring edition of Linden Market was well put together and the choice of vendors…top notch. I was elated to see some of my favourites such as Swagger Collective and Earthen Ceramics. There was an abundance of wonderful people, good food and beautiful products. Talking about food, I never really try out vegan options. Photographs of Lexi Monzeglio’s new venture Keenwa had me solidly convinced that I had to try it. I had a Beet Burger and it was fantastic!

Milame Design was established in 2011 by Emma Atkinson. Her work celebrates the creation of handmade jewellery featuring line and form, simplicity and elegance, and hints of beautiful colour. It truly is minimal handmade jewellery. Plus, she has cat rings, I was sold!
Picnic Ceramics found by Rebecca from Earthen Ceramics features beautiful ceramic jewellery. All of the pieces are handmade and handpainted. Anybody interested would be spoilt for choice between simplistic earrings, illustrative brooches and striking necklaces.
All Stonecamp bags are handmade in Pretoria. This venture started on a sheep farm in the Karoo, the semi-desert part of South Africa. It was their comfortable shoes that really caught my attention. Something that would definitely work wonders in a capsule wardrobe.
